Publisher's Summary

Toby never meant to be a highway robber, but needs must. He didn’t plan to impersonate a top London valet either, but when the chance comes to present himself as the earl of Arvon’s new gentleman's gentleman, he grabs it. Unfortunately, the earl is the man he seduced and robbed on the road to get here. Oops.

Miles, Lord Arvon, is not impressed. But he’s faced with a tumbledown home and lost family fortune, and desperate times call for desperate measures. Toby—shameless, practical, and definitely desperate—may be just the man he needs.

To steal back a priceless bracelet, that is. What else were you thinking?

Awesome

What a really interesting story. Its a great short story with Highs And Lows, quite expected a real joy to listen to. I look forward to reading more.

Easy listening

Story was ok, a bit of light listening
The story line was pretty predictable. But I enjoyed an uncomplicated book for a change

Quite Enjoyable

This was my first historical romance, let alone my first MM historical romance, and I loved it. While there wasn't a whole lot of steam, I quite enjoyed the different language.
The narrators were wonderful, they fit the story quite well.

Amusing romantic historical romp!

When Toby presents himself as the new valet to Miles, Lord Avron, he realises he’s made a big mistake. Miles is someone Toby recently seduced and stole from. Luckily Toby is unrepentantly silver-tongued and he’s soon calmed the outraged Lord. As the two sift through the derelict remains of the Avron estate, they form an unlikely bond. This regency romance novella was a quick and amusing bit of fun that leaves you wanting a lot more. It is charmingly good-natured and you want the two main characters to succeed. Because it’s so brief and quick-paced, the plot resolutions felt a little too easy and neatly packaged. Audio narrators Ryan Laughton and James Joseph (a favourite) were both great.

I was thankful it was short

Enemies to lovers story. Very predictable.

I didn’t really like the characters, found some of the changes in character unrealistic.

I felt compelled to finish it as I’d started And gotten through so much but I was glad when it was over.

Did have some funny moments though.

Weak story but still enjoyable elements

An unbelievable fluff piece. Suitable if you're just after an undemanding saucy story. Enemies to lovers plot line involving family legacies.
