Publisher's Summary
Following his 2019 production of A Raisin in the Sun, celebrated as "an absorbing, watershed revival," by The New York Times, Robert O’Hara returns to Williamstown Theatre Festival to direct this Tennessee Williams masterpiece. With Emmy, Grammy, and six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald as Blanche DuBois alongside Carla Gugino as Stella, O’Hara takes a fresh and visceral look at the emotionally charged relationship between these two iconic sisters. Haunted by her past, Blanche seeks refuge with Stella and Stanley (Ariel Shafir) in New Orleans, where she wrestles with the nature of her sister’s husband, her sister’s denial, and her own unraveling mind.

Loved hearing a new stage version come to life in my ears!
Beautiful modern interpretation of an absolute classic. Especially loved listening to the interview with the director at the end. 100% recommend!

Fantastic!
What I love most about this is the cast is so diverse and the director makes you feel like you are sitting on stage with them, something you can’t get from the theatre.
I am completely obsessed with Audra McDonald’s performance as Blanch, she was just amazing!
The approach to this format of an audible book from a theatre play is one of the best I have heard of a great American classic, an I’m Australian!
The whole cast, production crew, and performance team had me gasping to finish streetcar as fast as I could.
It was brilliant to listen to with the quality of the speakers.
If your looking to be enhanced with better then front row seats I highly recommend streetcar!
