uncomfortable
from start to finish the reader feels uncomfortable with Alec’s pursuit of being a spy….. trouble is he is a compulsive liar.

Self indulgent exposition
The excessive extension of the story by the use of pseudo political and philosophical discourse coupled with supposedly objective analyses of the protagonist .
Audible restricts returns but I am sick of buying promoted popular books that do not know when to stop
