Lovely.

This was a sweet, gentle book, and the narrator delivered the story with such a joy that it added so well to the overall. He had the added task of voicing a younger white male with an older MoC and that is no easy task to deliver. James C Jones did such a good job. I loved his tone and his clear delineation between Ezra and Roman.
The MCs were so well suited, they just worked. It was a book that fit my mood and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the audiobook of a night to wind down with. There's nothing grand about the story and that was perfect. However, it did give me lots of good feelings, like happiness and joy and caring. There are times I look for uncomplicated and for nice things happening to good people. That was this book.
