About this listen
From the east came the Bone Giants. From the south, the fire-wielding Hathrim. It was an invasion that sparked war across the six nations of Teldwen. Now the kingdom's only hope is the discovery of a new form of magic - one that will call the wondrous beasts of the world to fight by the side of humankind.
In the start of a thrilling new series, the New York Times best-selling author of The Iron Druid Chronicles creates an unforgettable fantasy world of warring giants and elemental magic.

Excellent
Extremely likable characters with a well developed story told in an interesting way, with great narrators doing a good job of differentiating between characters. I would highly recommend although it takes a little bit to get used to the style of the book.

No Iron Druid, don’t read if depressed or grieving
Not gripping like his iron Druid chronicles, as you keep skipping between characters, you don’t get as engrossed in the action. Also strong focus on loss and grief in first two books.

If you're into Earth Magic, this is the book ...
Fantastic take on Earth Magic and the elements!
If you have a basic understanding of the elements of Wicca, Paganism, Shamanism etc, you will find this an easy and enjoyable read.
My husband and I can't wait for the next book!

Creating worlds
Kevin dose not just write books with hero's and protagonists, he creates rich full worlds, languages and customs for them to live in also.
An amazing read..

Fantastic story
A wonderful story full of imagination, inspiration & characters you will fall in love with, I followed the chronicles of The Iron Druid & besides the last book, loved them all, I adore Luke Daniels as a narrator so was delighted to finally receive my copy of 'A Plague of Giants', it is a completely different story & I was spellbound from beginning to end. Thoroughly recommended to readers who enjoy stories of battles & magic.

Great Tale
Cannot wait for the next volume. Once you get your head around all the characters, it is a fantastically interesting interwoven tale. Love the performances too. Highly recommended.

Oh dear.
I think the Iron Druid novels are superb and hoped I'd enjoy this just as much. Unfortunately, I reckoned it to be appalling. I listened to the first 13 chapters but simply couldn't get into it. I downloaded and printed out the additional material but as the book progressed I found the material to be pretty useless - even the map. To make matters worse, one of the narrators shouldn't be allowed to read anything in the future that doesn't lend itself to her lack of pronunciation ability. She can't pronounce 'TH' amongst others. Whilst this might not be anything other than an annoyance in some novels, in this one where there are made up words and names, it is dreadful. A poor show indeed.

If you are looking for Iron Druid, Forget it.
Absolutely loved the Iron Druid Chronicles.
Characters had substance and felt real. Great Stories and you could feel that Luke Daniels enjoyed performing.
This book, however, I could not gain traction, it felt like slipping on mud.
Sorry but Ms Sands performance even in high tension chase scenes put me to sleep.
