About this listen
Are you sick of hearing about the 9 symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder? Do you believe deep in your heart that your loved one is more than that?
I know what it feels like to feel lost, confused and helpless. To worry for hours on end about your loved one.
“A New Understanding of Borderline Personality Disorder” is here to change that. I firmly believe that the only word that should be used to define a person is their name. Instead of addressing the label of “borderline personality disorder”, this book addresses the human being behind the label.
Gain:
- Insight into personality development, the nature of personality disorders, and tools to identify them.
- Understanding emotions, recognizing emotional dysregulation, and learning strategies to regulate emotions.
- Unpacking how thoughts influence our emotions and behaviors, noticing cognitive distortions, and learning how to challenge them.
- Exploring attachment theory for self-awareness and redefining expectations in relationships.
- Actionable strategies to manage your life differently.

Succinct, accessible and accurate.
A great summary of the fundamentals for living a good life.
I liked the recommendation to not confront a person with a label/diagnosis with the hope that they can be “fixed”. A lack of self awareness will ensure this message will not land with the person & will do only harm to your relationship.
Seeing an important person/persons who have these traits as a potential catalyst for your own personal growth journey is a very valuable message which I have personally experienced to be profoundly true.
The book discourages the reader to play the victim role and encourages them take responsibility for their own life.
