David’s book documents a year of gruelling treatment, which at one point nearly made him sell his house in order to raise the necessary $1M for trial CAR-T cell treatment in Boston, US. A little biased

Disclaimer: I have had the pleasure of working with Mr Downs for a short period last year and was lucky enough to sit down and have a coffee with him and hear his story. While not as long as this book it was incredible, full of hope and optimism, as is this book. So I am a little biased. I hope his message of staying positive, accepting help and not letting the Big C get the better of you will give anyone who has lost someone or knows someone who is going through their own cancer battle, the courage and optimism that this hideous disease can be conquered.

Also the poop jokes were funny.
