About this listen
Penguin presents the audiobook edition of A Map of Days by Ransom Riggs, read by Kirby Heyborne.
Includes a bonus PDF of haunting vintage photographs that accompanies the story!
Having defeated the monstrous threat that nearly destroyed the peculiar world, Jacob Portman is back where his story began, in Florida. Except now Miss Peregrine, Emma, and their peculiar friends are with him, and doing their best to blend in. But carefree days of beach visits and normalling lessons are soon interrupted by a discovery - a subterranean bunker that belonged to Jacob's grandfather, Abe.
Clues to Abe's double-life as a peculiar operative start to emerge, secrets long hidden in plain sight. And Jacob begins to learn about the dangerous legacy he has inherited - truths that were part of him long before he walked into Miss Peregrine's time loop.
Now, the stakes are higher than ever as Jacob and his friends are thrust into the untamed landscape of American peculiardom - a world with few ymbrynes, or rules - that none of them understand. New wonders, and dangers, await in this brilliant next chapter for Miss Peregrine's peculiar children. Their story is again fully illustrated by haunting vintage photographs, but with a striking addition for this all-new, multi-era American adventure - full colour.

Great read! but...
Great read, but felt like it was lacking. Felt like this was just a filler to something in the works.

Took a while to get traction
The story was pretty slow for the first half but then built momentum towards the end, finishing abruptly on a cliffhanger.

Good addition to series
whilst book 3 and 4 haven't been as good as book 2, they have still been enjoyable, a big part thanks to the fantastic narration from Kirby. story and characters are interesting however I feel like the growth of some of the main children has stunted and leaves me frustrated at times with their decisions which go against what they should do/know based on previous encounters, namely Jacob and Emma.
overall pleased with the book though and look forward to the next chapter
