About this listen
Available for the first time as an audiobook in this original Outlander novella, Diana Gabaldon reveals what really happened to Roger MacKenzie Wakefield’s parents. Orphaned during World War II, Roger believed that his mother died during the London Blitz, and that his father, an RAF pilot, was killed in combat. But in An Echo in the Bone, Roger discovers that this may not be the whole story. Now, in "A Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows," readers finally learn the truth.

Listen a second time
Listened when I first encountered Roger’s story, then again after ‘an echo in the bone’. This gave depth to the episode in the novel with Jerry’s helpers and vice versa, when I listened again.

Provides a great little story filler-in for the Outlander series
A story about Jerry, Roger's Dad, for all those who wonder what really happened to him!! As usual, DG's writing is wonderful.. and tissues are mandatory. You know, whenever I am near a DG story, I think about tissues and wonder how they managed without them in the 1700s LOL.

Uplifting
So good to fill-in the blanks of Roger’s parents story. I wish Roger new what he did for his father and in turn what his both his parents did to save him. Way to short but understandably so. A true love story ending 💕

Poor Jerry & Dolly
I was hoping it would have been longer. A great background filler about Rogers parents.

I miss Davina’s voice!
Davina was sorely missed listening to this. But I’m glad I listened and found out what happened to Rogers parents. Kind of nice how they went together.
