Publisher's Summary
She’s a believer in lost causes.
He just hopes she can believe in him.
Morgan Westcott is watching her dream slip away. Burned in love and with no family left to lean on, she is trying to build an equine therapy program from scratch in her little hometown. But help is hard to come by, funding is running low, and the writing is on the wall.
Cody Haskins finally has his dream job. He’s risen to become one of the top cow horse trainers in the nation, and now he’s riding for the famous Walker Ranch Brand—the family that took him in when he was a kid. But he’s got a hole in his heart, a chip on his shoulder, and a hankering for the one thing that’s always slipped through his fingers.
When Cody and Morgan team up to save a lost cause, it’s more than horses that get a fresh start. Trust and respect begin to grow, but old wounds are slow to heal. Will the disappointments of their pasts keep repeating themselves? Or can two people who never belonged anywhere else find a home together?

Typical small town love and comfort
I am normally a mystery and military type romance, Genre person so I chose this for a little bit of light reading.
I must admit it was a first time. Listen to this author and this narrator.
I enjoyed the authors writing style and the plot line was intriguing and not just a straight up love story.
I did find the h little baffling as she seemed to be pretty switched on but lost some good sense when it came to certain situations.
I understand that both h and H keeping secrets from each other only adds to the complexity of a relationship but sometimes it got little frustrating.
The plot line started to get a bit thin in a few places around the money issues part for the h and the H starting up something, that, in real life he never should have.
Normally the side characters a bit quirky and witty. But the character that supported the h didnt seem to have much going for her, and even though she's the next book It doesn't interest me enough to actually go in and listen to it.
So all in all, If you like sweet Hometown feelings and past secrets kind of book then this is for you.
But me personally, I enjoy a grittier, more mysterious style fof book.
As for the narrator, she did a good job. I enjoyed her voice and her inflexions. And she was very clear in what she read. so I won't have a problem listening to anything she reads next time.
