Publisher's Summary

The Empire is splitting at the seams. The Great Houses refuse to obey the Throne World and have begun to conduct increasingly independent politics. Sensing the weakness of the central government, even the most loyal star systems of the Imperial Core are refusing to take orders from above.

Is this just a string of coincidences, or a coordinated campaign? Can a disjointed humanity rally around a strong leader to deflect an alien invasion? Who of the many figures in intergalactic politics can rise to this challenge? And is there a basis to the creeping rumors that some influential aristocrats have joined forces with the enemy and allied with the aliens?

So Russian it Hurts

A uniquely Russian perspective on a space opera and what an oligarchical space faring society might look like. Some truly terrible "genius tactics" from the protagonist and just an awful perspective on the "usefulness of women" but a fun listen especially for the price.

similar in a lot of ways to all Anamonovs works so of you've listened to another, this is more of the same.

Brilliant!

From beginning to end, I binged the series and loved every minute.
The narrator is also amazing. He's the best at what he does

recommend this series. has serious flaws likeost gamelit, however most can be overlooked. I really enjoyed this series, but the ending was disappointing. Interesting and somewhat confusing, but ultimately disappointing.

Moo review

Omg that twist. So you kinda get what's going on and then the author decides to take a dump on your brain and blows you. This is a definite read and I hope there's another one coming
