About this listen
It’s 1624, and the Whitfields finally arrive in England. Eager to spend time with Louisa and Kit, their visit is not the happy reunion they’d hoped for.
In the meantime, in 1777, Abbie and Finn go behind enemy lines to spy for the revolution, putting themselves in grave danger. The slightest mistake can mean the difference between life and death, tearing them apart forever. Even Finn’s knowledge of what’s to come is not enough to keep them safe from their own carelessness.
Unexpected revelations, long-buried secrets, and unforeseen reunions threaten to destroy everything the Whitfields and Sheridans hold dear, throwing their lives into turmoil once again.

Sorry - first time reading Irina Shapro books, but I just can't read anymore of this series.
I'm sorry to write a "not so good" review.
I'm sure it is just my own preferences in books and I sincerely do not mean any offence to the author or fans - but I have just finished book 4 and I've decided for my own sanity that I jusy can't continue with the series.
I am a person who takes on the emotions of the characters or that of the writter's intentions and these books hurled me down a path of feeling unmovable dispare. Even the happy scenes were shrouded in mysery.
I love a storey which includes a battle of lifes endeavours - even without a happy ending, but these books seem to surround each and every character or event with intense hardship, cruelty and misery.
While these books present a great story, if you are anything like me (one who plummets themselves into a book) then please be warned:- this series of books have an extremely negative influence.
