Not the final story Ellery Queen deserved
Known as the last Ellery Queen novel it is a shame that they couldn’t have given the character a better story send off. Now set in the late sixties they now longer have the style and morality of the original stories. They really become just pulp crime fiction written to the lowest common denominator, the difference being Ellery Queen has a better vocabulary and classical education than most.
