Knowledge on the move.
Enjoyable, perhaps a bit concise, I would have enjoyed it even at three times the length, so showing the text as it's read would be great with a book like this that includes formulas

A patronising history of Engineering
This book does not contain useful explanations of concepts, just a brief historical outline. Written in the usual self flagellating manner of a left leaning intellectual, with occasional explanations of forces that amount to simple formulae, but no practical applications of this.
It is narrated dispassionately by someone who could be replaced by a text to speech program.
Not recommended at all.
