About this listen

Theirs is a marriage of convenience.

She loves another...

Lady Julie has dreamed of marrying her childhood sweetheart since she was four years old. Unfortunately, her father has other plans. He has his sights set on her marrying an earl. When she is forced into an unwanted betrothal, Julie needs to make a choice: wait for her true love and destroy her honor, or make a deal with the forbidding earl.

He vowed to never love again...

Robert, the Earl of Clydesdale, has sworn off love. A marriage of convenience is more to his liking. So he wasn’t about to turn away a beautiful young lady’s plea for help in exchange for her hand in marriage. But once he spends more time with his betrothed, his icy heart begins to melt. Only his betrothed is in love with another. Now Robert has a choice, either lock his heart away and live in misery, or take a risk and fight for the woman he loves.

A Deal with the Earl contains adult content, strong language, violence, unseen death, bullying, nightmares, pregnancy and miscarriage. Listener discretion is advised.

Loved it! Can't wait for more

I loved the story! The alternate narration was enjoyable. I'm not sure if it was just me, but sometimes the female narrater sounded like she wanted to cry?

Just wonderful ❤💜❤

What a wonderfully written story. Julie and Robert's marriage starts as a marriage of convenience until they both begin to have feelings for eachother.

I love that the story includes a person with Down Syndrome.

I did wish however that their was more uh friendship between John and Julie considering he was her best friend. And I hated how the 'villain ' went unpunished and so Julie and Robert's family essentially suffered.

The miscarriage element was also good but I wish there had been more communication between the couple.

As for for the narration I loved it. The coinciding between chapters of the female and male narrators was perfection and it's the first time I've seen it done as such and wish more authors who used dual narrators did it this way. Bravo!!
