Publisher's Summary
The adventure concludes with the triumphant finale in the Riftwar Saga.
Raymond E. Feist is an internationally best-selling author.
The battle may be over, but war is coming…
The Kingdom forces may have won the first conflict but the enemy has a strong grip on Midkemia and invasion now seems inevitable.
Arutha travels north to confront the Dark Elves, but without help, Pug knows that Arutha’s forces face slaughter. With Tomas he must scour the world – and beyond – to find the one person with enough power to give them a chance.
If they fail, Midkemia will be the first of many worlds to fall to a madman with the power to dominate death itself…
A Darkness at Sethanon concludes Raymond E. Feist’s bestselling Riftwar Saga.

loved the book and the reading except for one bit
without spoiling I need to say this.
at one of the most important parts of the book, the audiobook reader seems to think that "he had a musical voice" means that he literally sings his words like a f***ing priest. it completely ruins a very intense moment. other than that, he did a good job. apart from a few mispronunciations here and there.

Loved it!
What an epic story! This series fits under a whole bunch of genres - apart from the obvious ones you could also add it to “spiritual awareness and growth” “cultural sensitivity and acceptance” and “how to forgive the unforgivable”
I am going to miss these people. A lot.

A magnificent book but Murmandamus’ voice?!?
Admittedly, Feist does say Murmandamus spoke to the defenders in a musical voice, but I doubt he meant a Broadway Musical blended with monastic chanting. I love the way he reads until he puts on his more adventurous voices. And I will NEVER stop cringing when I hear ar-ROOT-a and LIE-AM. But back to Murmandamus... just wait till you hear it. It will shatter the moment for sure. Other than that, it was so good to hear this story again. One of my all time favourites.

Fantastic
I read this series many years ago and it has been just as enthralling to listen to again. I had forgotten a great deal of the story and it has been a wonderful rediscovery.
The narrator has done well considering the many characters in the story.
