Adair led a remarkable life of constant change, and like a cat with 9 lives she always managed to land on her feet. I liked how historic facts were seamlessly woven into this storyline and I was invested in the outcome. Justine's narration was perfection as always.

This was an interesting time in which to write. There was a lot of cruelty back then and surviving the elements was tough. In this novel the heroine was super strong otherwise she would never have achieved so much. Everything was neatly wrapped up in a satisfied ending. I look forward to listening to another of this author’s tales.

A very well written story. I was compelled I listened. I cried. I replayed visualised. It was intense. Yes, it was gracious, well done I look forward to more. This was the first of your books I’ve read, and I’ve listened to many books. I will now listen to for books, hopefully have as much joy as I did with this one.
