About this listen
Are you truly taking care of yourself? Or are you too busy taking care of everyone else?
So many of us find it easier to love other people than to love ourselves. We struggle to put our own needs first and have a hard time asking for what we want let alone going after it. Instead, we attach ourselves to selfish people trying over and over to win love from those who simply can’t offer it.
If that sounds familiar, you may be the victim of narcissistic abuse. In A Cult of One, Richard Grannon exposes the insidious effects of narcissistic abuse and shares his own winding road to recognition and recovery. Through martial arts, mysticism, psychedelics, and psychology spanning over four continents and 44 years of life, Grannon discovered a systematic discipline for healing. Join him as he explains step-by-step with courage, humor, and optimism how to forge your own path to a better life.

worthy of a read.
I did not connect with the authors personal accounts, infact it almost caused me to not finish. However I pushed thru it and am glad I did.
It was strangely comforting. I have read a lot about NPD but this book left me with a sense of peace.

Rich is the man & he puts it all on the line!
Full respect to Richie & he’s story. The guys been through the fire & now he walks with the scars. I was sad to hear he’s still falling into the same old pits. I thought he was going to triumph but that stories still to come, the sequel. I too wonder about ‘change’ & will be using all of his practical tools. I’m determined to show myself change is possible & even teachable. One step @ a time. Thanks again R.G & may you never give up!

I'll be recommending this to everyone
I've been following Richard on social media for a while and this book is consistent with his other work - very well written with some very interesting insights. The narration is great and easy to listen to. Well done Richard!

Brilliant
Clear and relatable. I like that he focuses on why and how the “echo codependent” responds, and suggests steps that they can do about it
