Publisher's Summary
The epic third story in the #1 New York Times bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas.
Feyre has returned to the Spring Court, determined to gather information on Tamlin's actions and learn what she can about the invading king threatening to bring her land to its knees. But to do so she must play a deadly game of deceit. One slip could bring doom not only for Feyre, but for everything-and everyone-she holds dear.
As war bears down upon them all, Feyre endeavors to take her place amongst the High Fae of the land, balancing her struggle to master her powers-both magical and political-and her love for her court and family. Amidst these struggles, Feyre and Rhysand must decide whom to trust amongst the cunning and lethal High Lords, and hunt for allies in unexpected places.
In this thrilling third audiobook in the #1 New York Times bestselling series from Sarah J. Maas, the fate of Feyre's world is at stake as armies grapple for power over the one thing that could destroy it.

Keeps you wanting more
Give me dramatised over normal narration anytime. Over time you adjust to the background sound. The different cast of narrators wins over a single narrator for me.
Having listened to the original narration, Part 1 and then Part 2 was like having the story come to life literally. Looking forward to Part 3 to finish up the culmination of the story book 1 started until book 3. It will be an epic ending.

Great story that kept me engaged throughout. The characters were very well written. I was devastated when I finished the series.

Good Dramatised adaptation but story got frustrating
Great quality of Dramatised adaptation as always.
But found the story frustrating, because main characters don’t self reflect. For example, they stole from Tarqiun without even making an attempt to convince him. Freya exposed subjects of Tamlin’s kingdom to risk and destruction and doesn’t take any responsibility.

4 ⭐️
Finished this book insanely fast, and enjoyed it more than the first two, probably because the story climaxes in this one, and so much is happening. The last third of the book had me on the edge of my seat gasping in shock/suspense many times 🙈
The only thing that really has irked me in this book and the last is Tamlin & Feyre’s story, he’s so unnecessarily villainised. Feyre exaggerated his wrongdoings hugely and they’re not even as bad as Rhysands, let’s be honest. Because the book is narrated from her perspective Tamlin is just painted so badly, it has me wondering if this is setting something up for Tamlin as villain in future books, and hoping not because it’s not a storyline I’m interested in reading.
Nesta’s character is redeemed in this book, she’s given more attention and clarity around who she is and her motivations, and I enjoyed the journey her character took in this book. Elaine’s storyline was okay too, but I felt a little disappointed that there wasn’t more of her, and her role in the ending of the book was a bit random.
I mostly enjoyed the ending, only a couple things I questioned a little, but nothing too major and it left me really satisfied with this series so far!
Audiobook comment: The graphic audiobook just brings a whole extra layer to the story with the voice actors, they really did a great job, and I especially was glad I was listening during the war part, the audiobook was just so good!
