Publisher's Summary

This edition of A Course in Miracles is referred to as the “Original Edition“ and is the Course as it was completed in 1972. This was before there were significant edits in 1975. This edition was discovered in 1999 and was first published by Course in Miracles Society in 2006.

Taken from the original manuscript for the Course, the only editing that has been done to this great spiritual classic has been to correct occasional typographic and spelling errors and to render capitalization and punctuation consistent.

The volume that you will be listening to here is the Text, which is the first of the three-volume set: Text, Workbook, and Manual for Teachers. These volumes were scribed by Helen Schucman with the help of William Thetford, as she listened to an inner voice that identified Itself as Jesus.

The narrator Martin Weber, [maz], is a longtime friend and member of CIMS Europe, a musician, and, of course, a student of A Course in Miracles. Maz sits with the material in meditation before he begins his recording and then adds music that he has composed for a perfect accompaniment.

PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying reference material will be available in your Library section along with the audio.

Incredible

It can take years to learn the content but that's good because you'll never get bored. The narrator is incredible. He sounds like GOD talking, and the background music is very relaxing. He doesn't speak too fast and pauses in all the right places making it easier to grasp. I often listen to chapters multiple times if I get distracted as the content as some have mentioned is extremely deep and you do need to meditate on it in order for it to sink in. But that's why audible has the back 30 seconds buttons for you to re-listen over and over if need be. Don't hesitate, get this version.

Great narrator and music to complement the information

The narrator was very relaxing to listen to. I loved the music in the background, would listen to it before bed for a few chapters and it was a great way to wind down and take on board the information to process during sleep. Such a huge book that it was difficult to fully take on all information provided so I will have to listen a few times so I can fully understand.

Earth shaking 🌎

Phenomenonal. I've listened over the course of about 2 years, and have just finished. At the very end of the book, at the moment of 'Amen', I felt an earthquake for the first time in my life. Miracles have been unfolding around me since beginning this book, and now I finally understand how to identify with the Christ self concept. Thank you to all who made this spirit come to life in A Course In Miracles. My utmost gratitude to all who read it in future too. You will change the world. It is done. Thank you. Amen.

So Soothing

Sometimes ACIM just gets too hard going and I give it up for a while. It certainly needs careful study. But this audio is a way for me just to let go of all that striving with my mind. It’s like taking a warm bath in a swirl of soothing words of peace and truth and I just let it wash over me as I fall asleep.

very difficult to follow

this book seems to go on and on about subjects and you just get lost following. its hard to understand and get your head around .,if it was laid out simply without somewhat rambling a bit it would be a great book.but th ere isn't clarification like some authors do if you don't get it you are left confused then it runs on to the next topic..and.this guys voice is annoying together with the long pauses of uneccesary music..it is just awful..is it a book from christ or a children's. music book
