Publisher's Summary

The powerful, dramatic story of how a successful Hollywood set designer whose identity was deeply rooted in his homosexuality came to be suddenly and utterly transformed by the power of the Gospel.

When Becket Cook moved from Dallas to Los Angeles after college, he discovered a socially progressive, liberal town that embraced not only his creative side but also his homosexuality. He devoted his time to growing his career as a successful set designer and to finding "the one" man who would fill his heart. His life centered around celebrity-filled Hollywood parties, and he traveled to society hot spots around the world - until a chance encounter with a pastor at an LA coffee shop one morning changed everything.

In A Change of Affection, Becket Cook shares his testimony as someone who was transformed by the power of the Gospel. His dramatic conversion to Christianity and subsequent seminary training inform his views on homosexuality - personally, biblically, theologically, and culturally - and his compelling audiobook guides listeners through this complex and controversial issue while revealing how to lovingly engage with those who disagree. Provocative, genuine, and deeply faithful, A Change of Affection is a timely and indispensable resource for anyone who desires to understand more fully one of the most common and difficult stumbling blocks to faithfully following Christ today.

Well worth an open hearted listen

A very well thought through and structured book . The openness and vulnerability to which Becket demonstrates demands non judgmental listener. I found this a very powerful book that spoke deeply to me of what true love is .

A wonderful testimony

A wonderful and truly amazing story of Becket’s life both in and out of his homosexual lifestyle.
A great book for parents, siblings and friends of those who are in the LGBQ+ community and for those who are in or accept that lifestyle as natural. Becket’s testimony of how he repented and came to know Jesus as his Savior is inspiring.

A talented communicator - blessed, with purpose.

Beckett, what a wonderful and refreshing story you have - plus your such a talented communicator. You are blessed, because you have seen and used your purpose. As western society, we are so interested in the indulgent lifestyle that some at the top of 'people pile', have access to. I have found the book to be exceptionally written, interesting with various small stories, all connected together.

The incredible luxuries that Becket had access to is something that few will ever find. But, Beckett continually reminds us that these small morsels of 'juicy steak' (the temptations of the world 🌎) will never satisfy us inside. They are too shallow and mean nothing, when it comes to giving us what we truly need inside. Becket has an accomplished writing style and offers a sophisticated ease 👌 for combining today's questions into the tommorrow's answers - the truth that will always be: that Jesus Christ is the son of God. He came to provide our salvation. This book should be on the bookshelf inside every home 🏡 - It is an important resource for those people who struggle with same sex attraction and for those who loves them.

Well done, Becket. I hope to read more of your titles, into the future. Review Written by Jodie Guerrero, Survivor & Advocate - Jodiesjourney.com
