After a semi-truck collided with Don Piper's car, he was pronounced dead at the scene. For the next 90 minutes, he experienced the glories of heaven. Back on earth, a passing minister felt led to stop and pray for the accident victim even though he was told Piper was dead. Miraculously, Piper came back to life, and the pleasure of heaven was replaced by a long and painful recovery.

Great Listen
I loved the first 3/4 of the book: his experiences and revelations. -So powerful.
A great listen to any one who has ever or will ever lose someone - to give you peace to let them go cause you know they are so happy.
I just didn't like some of the latter chapters where he talks about his doctrinal philosophies... some of them were counter Biblical eg he suggests that pain, untimely deaths etc is part or Gods will completely ignoring the fact that there is a devil at play in this world too, and that WE humans often stray from Gods will putting ourselves in harms way. Stop accusing the GOOD God of doing atrocious acts. John 10:10 For God has come to give life and life abundantly, Satan has come to steal kill and destroy.

The reader reads it well and Don has written it well. He is a lovely, godly man and I thank God for him and his experience. Although… I am sorry that Don had to suffer so much.

Too slow for me
Over an hour before the book basically starts had me losing interest. Listened for a couple of hours but that was enough. Shame as it's a subject that does interest me.
