Pretend the end is half way through

It started off promising. Some interesting characters and scenarios.
However, everything seemed resolved at the half way mark.
Not only that, the main characters seemed to loose their personalities and individual characterics.
I kept listening for another couple hours, but nothing happened, I may as well have listened to my work mate narrating her day it was that exciting. I gave up with 4 hours to go.
