up and up better than the first one
the main character stopped being annoying and overall the characters feel more real than the first book.
I really like the foundation of magic being in mathematics it's just so cool.
I think the series might be top three best power armour series up there with d list villain.
the narrator still can't really do female voices lol some how there deeper then the male voices, but like that's kind of standard at this point unless it's a two-person team or it's one of the bigs like Travis or Jeff.

Well written with deepening plot. 
It’s great to see a well written book whose author actually knows how to progress characters and the world. I really enjoyed these two books and can’t wait for number three.
