この作品は与謝野晶子の代表作。28歳のときに発表したものです。３人兄弟がそれぞれに飼っている、３匹の金魚、“赤”“白”“斑”は、太郎さんのお使いで、駿河台の菊雄さんの所へ行くことになりました。甲武線（現在の総武線）に乗らなくてはなりません。新宿駅で電車に乗ろうとするのですが、水がないので大あわて。車掌さんに金ダライを持ってきてもらいました。金魚たちにとっては大冒険のお使い、無事に果たせるのでしょうか。奇想天外なこの発想は、晶子ならではです。松本伊代さんの語りでお楽しみ下さい。
