 2006年、新宿と赤坂で起きた「十二月一日連続殺人事件」。死亡した演劇界のカリスマ・一ノ瀬マサカズ、元ポルノ女優の七鬼百合、女優の国崎珠里の共通の知人・七鬼紅玉は、警察の取り調べ中に姿を消し、以来事件は未解決のままだ。じつは、彼らに共通するものがもう一つあった。それが「祝言島」である。 2017年、九重皐月は大学の授業で「祝言島」のドキュメンタリー映画に出会う。実在とも都市伝説とも言われる祝言島の様子を収めたフィルムには、陰惨な殺人シーンも収録され、スナッフ映画として上映されたらしい。母のすすめで映像制作会社でアルバイトを始めた皐月は、「祝言島」に関わる人々の再現ドラマを手にすることに。どこまでが真実で、どこからが虚構なのか。忌まわしく不穏な日々がそこには収められていた。
