ある夏休み。
小学校六年生の琴野一郎くん、前田保くん、西川哲雄くんは琴野くんのお父さんと長崎旅行へ来ていました。

船が大好きな三人は、港へ出かけて船を見て回っていました。
その中に船首に怪物の飾りがある船がありました。
珍しい飾りを興味深げに見ていた三人に船員が声をかけたのです。
船員はその船の乗組員で、三人に船の中を見せてあげると言います。
三人は喜んで船に乗り込みました。
だけどそこで眠り薬を飲まされ眠ってしまいます。

目覚めた時にはすでに海の上。
実はこの船は海賊船だったのです。
三人は海賊に誘拐されてしまいました。

この海賊たちは小さな船を襲っては港で盗んだものを売ったりしています。
三人は船の掃除や食事の準備など、雑用を手伝いながら一ヶ月が経ってしまいました。
毎日どうやったら逃げられるか考えていた三人に、ようやくチャンスがやってきました。

果たして三人は海賊から無事逃げられるのでしょうか？
三人の大冒険はまだまだ終わりそうにありません。
