前編に引き続き博さんの体験。鑓水はどうやら土地柄的に不思議が起こりやすいのではと懸案して、極力近づかないように努めていた。
弟氏の下宿を訪ねてからおよそ1年後の夏の晩、龍海さんが夕食を食べに行こうと誘いに来た。町中に美味しいハンバーグ屋があるから車で行こうというのである。
夕食後せっかくだから少しドライブでもというので付き合うことにすると連れていかれたのが避けていた鑓水だった。博さんは不安に思ったが存外件の下宿近辺は以前のような不穏な空気ではない。
ところが帰り道、弟氏が怖い思いをしたというとある企業の私有地に入った時恐れていたことが現実になってしまう。
