＜第七回 波乱はつづく＞
至徳2年（757）、杜甫46歳、鄜州にたどり着いての感慨を詠んだ「羌村三首」。「其の二」は、なすすべもなく老いてゆく不安と焦りを、「其の三」は、慰問に来てくれた村の長老たちとのひと時を詠んでいます。
この年は安史の乱の戦局が大きく変わり、10月に長安と洛陽が奪回され、粛宗と玄宗が相次いで長安に戻りました。翌11月には杜甫一家も長安へ帰り、杜甫自身は左拾遺の勤務を続けます。五言律詩「春 左省に宿（しゅく）す」は、宿直中の作。明朝、大切な意見書の提出を控え、はやる心と使命感とを詠んでいます。同じころの七言律詩「曲江二首」は打って変わって、粛宗の不興を買ってしまった挫折感や悔恨が前面に出て、頽廃的な詠みぶりになっています。
その二ケ月後の六月、杜甫は旧知の元宰相の左遷に連座する形で華州（長安の東北90キロ）に左遷され、以後ついに再び長安の土を踏むことはありませんでした。
