Robin Hobb
The Farseer Trilogy comprises Assassin’s Apprentice, Royal Assassin, and Assassin’s Quest. Listen to the complete unabridged Farseer Trilogy audiobook series narrated by Paul Boehmer.
Other fantasy book series by Hobb include Liveship Traders Trilogy, The Tawny Man Trilogy, The Rain Wild Chronicles, The Fitz and the Fool Trilogy, and The Soldier Son Trilogy.
Hobb’s work has been praised by fellow fantasy author George R.R. Martin, as well as Orson Scott Card who said Robb “arguably set the standard for the modern serious fantasy novel”.
Robin Hobb is the pen name of Margaret Lindholm. Lindholm began her writing career as a journalist for local newspapers and children’s publications before turning her hand to fiction. For writing published in her own name Lindholm has been a finalist for the Nebula and Hugo awards and winner of the Asimov Readers Award.
When she began writing as Robin Hobb, Lindholm says she selected a pseudonym when that was deliberately androgynous “because the first Hobb books were written as first person male”.
Hobb was born 5 March 1952, in California, United States. She lives in Tacoma, Washington.

“A thrilling fantasy story. Robin Hobb has created a vivid and beautiful world in the Farseer books and this series is a great follow up to her first in this world. Picking up the story of Fitz and Nighteyes and the Fool is seamlessly done and the new adventures are just as captivating as the first series. Also, a great job by the reader to help you immerse yourself in the story.” Roland, Audible listener.
