I was born in Brooklyn, New York. Served as a federal environmental prosecutor in New York for 13 years. While an Assistant U.S. Attorney, unrelated to my work, I was kidnapped off the street by a gang of robbers who held me, blindfolded in an apartment in Brooklyn, for 25 hours. I survived. The story is "too wild to be fiction" as Joseph Wambaugh says, and the New York Times says the book is "hilarious . . . harrowing . . .[and] one of the most exhilarating, improbable New York stories ever told." I am a courtroom and transactions lawyer, currently based in Seattle, where I practice Environmental Law | Sustainability | Litigation | Investigations | Security. The movie rights to the book were bought by Tom Cruise and United artists, but the film is still waiting to be made by another group.
