Patti Hill is a storyteller, whether crafting novels or immersing readers into the culture and history of the Bible. Her contemporary magical realism novels rekindle a sense of wonder and hope. Her stories based on the life of Christ juxtapose the mundane with the divine, providing a front-row seat to the most extraordinary story ever told. Hill was a finalist for a Christy Award for her debut novel, Like a Watered Garden, in 2006. She was also a finalist for the ALA religious novel of the year with The Queen of Sleepy Eye. The Colorado Book Award declared Hill a finalist for novel of the year for The San Clemente Bait Shop and Telephony in 2016. Also that year, she won the Lyra Award for the same novel. Hill lives in Western Colorado with her husband of 47 years, but she travels as often as book sales allow to Idaho and Maine to spend time with her grandsons. When not writing she can't resist a long walk with friends or a bike ride in the shadow of the Colorado National Monument. Flower gardens turn her head and quicken her heart rate. She could eat tacos every night of the week. You can expect to read new stories from Hill as she never plans to retire. She has too much to learn from her research. The San Clemente Bait Shop and Telephony "The San Clemente Bait Shop and Telephony is that rare novel with the power to pick up up by the ordinary and transport you to the magical where you will wish to reside long after you turn the last page." Bonnie Grove, Time and Time Again The Garden Gate Series "If I were searching for a gentle, entertaining, yet intellectually sound way to reveal to the unbelieving world what faith looks like in working clothes, what faith feels like in crises, how faith acts toward others who are hurint, this would be the series I'd reach for." Cynthia Ruchti, Song of Silence The Queen of Sleepy Eye "Written with exquisite depth of character, this fantastic story gently held up a mirror to my own heart, my motives, and encouraged me to dig more deeply into the hearts of others." Hannah Alexander, The Healing Touch series Seeing Things "At times ticklish and charming (oh, that Huck Finn!), at other times deeply moving...a tale I could read again and again." Tamara Leigh, Lady Undaunted Goodness and Mercy "...Goodness and Mercy is one of the most startingly beautiful novels I've ever read..Poignant and real, this book touches a deep chord in the human experience." Traci DePree, The Lake Emily series
