Molly Dektar is from North Carolina and lives in Queens, NY. A graduate of Brooklyn College’s MFA program, she is the recipient of the Dakin Fellowship from the Sewanee Writers’ Conference and the Brooklyn College Scholarship for Fiction. Her fiction has been published or is forthcoming in the Yale Review, N+1, Fence, the Harvard Review, the Sonora Review, and the Sewanee Review. The Ash Family (Simon and Schuster, 2019) is her first novel. Her second novel, The Absolutes, is forthcoming from Mariner on July 11, 2023.
