Donte J. Branch was born and raised in Washington, D.C in 1996. Branch went to D.C's top Public Charter school, Washington Latin PCS, from middle school, to the completion of high school. He then went on to graduate from Roanoke College in 2018, with a B.A of Sociology, and a concentration in Peace & Justice Studies. In 2018, he returned to Washington, where he produced his first book of selected poems, "Lullabies Behind My Eyelids."
