His new book, THE PRINCE AND THE POISONER (UK) or THE POISONER OF BENGAL (India), the true story of a murder-by-plague in Jazz Age Calcutta, was praised as "that rare success: a work of historical nonfiction that reads like a thriller" and "a true tale that's as compelling as any fictional murder mystery." Morrison's recent work examines collisions of medicine, commerce and crime in the early 20th century.
