If you're reading this, Dan is a writer—but once it was not so. Born in a hospital in Portland, Maine, back in 1986, Dan grew older in the Pine Tree State before earning degrees from Amherst College and Harvard Law School a bit later on. In Washington, Dan served in the Obama Administration as a speechwriter and political advisor on issues ranging from health care reform to exports and trade. He lives and writes today from New Haven, Connecticut: birthplace of the submarine, the corkscrew, the hamburger, the frisbee, the revolver, lollipops, George W. Bush, the steamboat, the cotton gin, and The Carpenters. When not writing or reading, Dan thoroughly enjoys playing his guitar, cooking and eating, drinking and talking about craft beers, trying to pitch in on the core causes about which he cares, just sort of walking around, singing karaoke with his friends at the karaoke place, and spending time with Miriam and Bowie.
