About this listen
At 18, Landon Miller was sure about two things - he was a submissive and he was going to be with Gregory Douglas for the rest of his life. That was until parents and school got in the way, and he found himself in New York, thousands of miles from the man who had learned how to take him in hand.
Years later, behind the bar at Rapture, the BDSM club he's built on a foundation of disillusioned dreams and broken bricks, Landon finds himself face to face with his favorite memory and greatest regret - Gregory. Determined to recapture the magic of their first love, Gregory works to right the wrongs of their past so they can move on together.
Battling through the resentment from their youth, Landon is unexpectedly called back to New York, and Gregory can't help but fear the past is repeating itself. Fighting familiar feelings of helplessness, he makes the decision to give Landon what he needs, even if that means not chasing after the man he adores...again. Gregory can only hope when Landon returns, he won't throw away the love they've fought and risked everything for.
Contains mature themes.

Does sex plus drama really equal a plot?
For over 15 years, Landon Miller has nursed a resentment for Gregory Douglas, his first dom / boyfriend who broke off their relationship and walked away. In the past few years, Landon and his best friend, Verity, have worked hard to build Rapture, a successful BDSM club in LA. Landon is fairly content with how things have turned out until Gregory walks back into his life. I liked this second-chances romance but didn’t love it, despite the audiobook being performed by one of my favourite narrators under the pseudonym ZA Martin (you and I know who you are!). Whereas Gregory never puts a foot wrong, Landon is a high-drama, high-maintenance sub and his unreasonable tantrums made him hard to like. At least he had the good grace to eventually apologise each time, I suppose. I’m hoping for better things from the rest of the series, because besides Landon’s drama, not a lot actually happens here besides steamy BDSM scenes - there’s a lot of sex masquerading as plot.
