L'enfant, bien que ne manquant de rien, ne grandit pas, mais il va vivre des aventures extraordinaires.

Les Frres Jacob (1785-1863) et Wilhelm (1786-1859) Grimm ont rassembl au dbut du 19e sicle une srie de contes populaires allemands, qu'ils ont publis sous le titre Les Contes de Grimm entre 1812 et 1815. Des contes tels "Hansel et Gretel", "Blanche-Neige", "La Belle au bois dormant" et "Le Petit Chaperon rouge" font aujourd'hui partie des plus connus au monde, mais la collection contient plus de 200 histoires, surtout issus de la rgion germanophone, mais venant aussi de France et du Danemark.
