Publisher's Summary

Raine Kendall has everything a woman could want…almost. Sexy, tender Dom Liam O'Neill is her knight in shining armor, but Raine keeps pinching herself. Is he too good to be true or is this growing connection one that could last a lifetime? She's constantly torn by her abiding feelings for her commanding boss, Macen "Hammer" Hammerman, especially in the wake of the mind-blowing night he cast aside the barriers between them and ravaged every inch of her body.

Hammer, Liam's former best friend, can't stop coveting Raine. But Liam is determined to hold and guide the woman he loves and see if she can be the submissive of his dreams. However, he's finding that her trust is hard won and he needs a bloody crowbar to pry open her scarred soul. So he risks everything to win her once and for all. But once he's put his daring plan in motion, will it cost Liam his heart if he loses Raine to Hammer for good?

book 2 of the Shadow club series

the saga of Hammer, Liam and Raine continues..
Liam just wants her to heal and her submission.
His plan started with noble intentions but one kiss and Raine was all he wanted, to protect, love, cherish, rescue and teach. Will Liam be able to convince Raine to love only him and will Hammer ever let her go or will it all blow up in there faces..
the narration was perfect as usual and I'm looking forward to book 3.

The Manipulator and the SELFISH

Why why why did the author draggggggggggg Macen's character through this whole book and series to eventually give him half of a woman? Clearly the story should have either focused on Macen and Raine finding love with each other or Liam and Raine leaving to continue there love story.

Raine character is greedy she is masking her love and appreciation for Macen saving her as love for a man her equal. Even at the end when she comes in the room and sees Macen and is crushed Liam is not there she says her "my heart shattered at him not being there" then perks up when he speaks.

If Liam needed all of her and she him he could have taken her to therapy and left the club to start fresh and claim her love 100% for himself.

I feel Macen character got used throughout the series and he should have had his own woman to love him so he could let Raine go he was the only one who showed true love.
Raine was greedy and immature and selfish, Liam a liar and manipulator and selfish.
