Not a fan of the male voice - very weak
Hard to get into the tough guy mode with that voice… odd choice. Not raw or exciting in any way.
Story was similar to The Ritual but more hardcore - couldn’t connect with the fmc

Shantel Tessier does it again with book #2 in her L.O.R.D.S. Series and the darkest of dark romances. Elli and Sin, our Little Demon and Devil, defining their own romantic escapades through shared traumatic experiences.

The narrators were a little hard to get into, I think Laurie West and Peter Alden had mature sounding voices, more believable for older characters, not young 20-somethings.
Sidenote: Peter in particular sounds very much like Matthew Broderick, and Ferris Bueller/Simba were not really my thing in the 80s/90s. But someone may be into that!

Overall good
Overall enjoyed the story in the end but it didn’t feel the male narrator’s nasally slightly whiney voice didn’t match up to the character. Pushed through and just dealt with the voice but wasn’t the most enjoyable.
Story dragged me in and was good ending! Plenty of spicy scenes with very dark content.

The ritual was better
Story was ok. Felt like I should have read this one first then the ritual. It was confusing when they combined similar characters.
There’s a lot of s** contents and R***e. So if that triggers you shouldn’t read it.
Overall it was a good time pass

Overall enjoyed this book
There were some dark scenes that was a bit too intense for me and had to skip. It was enjoyable too and I like the world of the lords. Can’t wait for Carnage ❤️
