Publisher's Summary

“I thought I knew who I was, but I was wrong.”

I was lied to. I was cheated. Resigned to pick up the scraps of empty memories and disarrayed thoughts, I left. After finally cutting the strings of manipulation, I resorted to do what I’ve done since I was a child, something my father drilled into my brain since I could handle my first rifle.

Run.

I’m a mere shadow of the girl they all knew. Lies and deceit change you. They alter your entire outlook on life. I’m Madison Montgomery, and I want to play a game. Here’s what happens when I win.

Riddle me this, Mads. What goes bump in the night, but is something you can’t see with sight? You may run, and you may hide. If by happily ever after, you mean Bonnie & Clyde.

Honestly I always forget that amo is from New Zealand.
I love that my country was in this series tho it was short it was awesome to read.

I swear tho, every time someone tries our accent it comes out sounding Australian 🤣

Meh maybe it’s just a hard one to mimic.
Once again this ends in a massive cliffhanger. I still feel like I know nothing/very little about the fmc background.

Amo is great with her twists and turns in all her work.
Mmc is a psycho, but I do like him.

I don’t 100% understand Nate’s character or where his feelings towards fmc started/come from.

So many lies and secrets. I feel like I really need to keep going asap, so glad I didn’t start this series before it was finished because these cliffhangers are brutal.

omg. I am so addicted to this series. It is much darker than the stuff I perfer to read but the authors writing style has absolutley sucked me in, elevates my heart rate and has stirred all my emotions, anger, empathy, grief for Maddison's rough life. This book is not for the faint of heart!

Secrets

This book was frustrating and was centred around ‘secrets’ that were never fully answered. The main character followed blindly people who were cruel, abusive and neglectful, it was cringe worthy to read. Honestly she continued to do things never having answers, not realistic or believable at all.
