About this listen
Daniel Livingston is finally free. He's come clean about his passionless marriage and moved to St. Nacho's where he can spend time with his brother. Now he's ready explore the endless sexual buffet being hot and rich and single has to offer. The problem is a firefighter named Cameron Rooney who haunts his every waking thought and half his dreams. No doubt about it. Cam is going to require a level of honesty Dan has never before considered, and in order to achieve that, he will have to turn his life inside out. Coming clean to his ex-wife will cost him money, doing right by St. Nacho's will anger his business partner, and exploring a painful family secret will hurt the one person Dan has sworn to protect.
Cam's faith in Dan is tested and Dan's belief in himself is nearly non-existent. In the end, forging a new path could cost him everything or net him the most important score of his life in The Book Of Daniel. Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some listeners may find objectionable: male/male sexual practices.

Not the best in the series!
Entrepreneur, Daniel Livingstone has filed for divorce from his judgemental wife, moved to Santo Ignacio to be with his brother, Yasha (Jake), and thrown himself enthusiastically into the gay smorgasbord. However, while he is drawn to Viking firefighter Cameron Rooney, he isn’t settled in Santo Ignacio or within himself. He’ll need to start being honest with himself and those around him.
Gosh, this often happens to me - the book I most look forward to in a series doesn’t gel with me. I’m never a big fan of magical realism - I love paranormal or non-paranormal stories but I hate it when the line gets blurred and the author coyly flirts with mysticism in an otherwise normal story, it always feels like a cheap literary device to move the plot along.
I understand that Daniel’s journey required avoiding communicating and keeping everyone at arm’s length, but it was SO frustrating and took up nearly the whole book, he wasted so much time continually falling out with Cam and others - ugh! The chemistry between Dan and Cam was terrible, I didn’t believe it and I felt ripped off! Finally, cloistering himself away and avoiding the townsfolk towards the end was way over the top - drama queen territory. On the plus side, Thomas Fawley’s audio narration was on point.
