Physical chastisement used in context of story.

I know that physical abuse is frowned upon in today's western cultures. However, when reading a book, such as this, you are not living in your world, whilst reading, but in the cultural world that the author portrays. In saying this, in rhe world of the were wolf, spanking an errant women, by her mate, in this series, is a loving and often arousing situation, for both participants.
The sexual tension created by these scenes are hot belong belief, especially in this book, as it deals with a major breach of trust, and dishonest behavior.
So, if it is a hot erotic and sensual experience you seek, with a little bit of cave man thrown in, I recommend this series to you.
If you are prudish and believe any form of chastisement is bad, I suggest you find your reading pleasure, elsewhere.
