About this listen

From author Jescie Hall comes this dark and demanding stalker romance that pushes all the boundaries of exploring sexuality while simultaneously exposing the harsh realities of organized religion.

This book explores many dark topics. Please beware of the trigger warnings before listening. Your mental health matters.

Fornication is a sin.

As it reads, we should flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.

They teach us that these thoughts, these actions, are immoral. But that dark side that lives inside all of us, the true nature of man, drives us to seek the need that burns within, demanding to be set free. Deep inside of our bones lies that intrinsic need, one desperate to escape. An innate behavior, seemingly out of our control.

One that screams for sins they tell us are condemning.

Aero is the throat from which I scream.

The dark parts of myself I want hidden from this world are all he sees when he gazes at me beneath yet another mask.

He’s the demon drowning me in my own underlying desires.

He may never stop. Not until I succumb to my truths, or die beneath the weight of his unrelenting grasp.

Because according to him, the life I’ve been living is a hell far worse than death.

Wow

Amazing. Incredible. Just wow. The narration is absolutely top tier! I’m a huge Joe Arden fan and he absolutely blew this out of the water. The emotion 😮‍💨
The story itself was a bit different to what I was expecting (very heavy in religion) but I really enjoyed it. It was beautifully written. Definitely check your trigger warnings if you have some (I don’t 😅) but was terrific, I’d listen again

Absolutely Phenomenal

This book was amazing, I tried to read the physical copy and struggled, and was ready to put it in the DNF pile, but this performance from Joe Arden was absolutely spectacular and made me want more.
I had heard other books narrated by Joe Arden and this is by far his most powerful piece.

Joe freaking Arden!

As a Christian I “shouldn’t” enjoy listening to something like this BUT as someone who can relate to this storyline and has become stronger in spite of what has happened to me I LOVED this book! Joe Arden I have no words! This narration was perfection the emotion, the angst, the anger etc was just amazing. The female narration was also fantastic as even though her voice sounded a little robotic at times, I personally loved her voice as the story progressed and her characters confidence. Would recommend if you like dark romance and if you can handle this type of thing.

Intense

At first I wasn’t sure because I felt that the female vocal was robotic and lacked appropriate emotion. Then the male voice came in and wow! It had me hooked immediately, intense and broody. The erotica was hot and a great story to back it with.

Wow

What an amazing book, I was hesitant to read the book due to the religious content, it’s not my thing. I decided to listen to the story and my goodness am I glad that I did.
Joe Arden’s performance was out of this world! I felt all of Aero’s emotions and crazy through Joe’s performance.
I would 100% buy the physical book, and I think this is going to a favourite in my audible replay list.
I am ADHD and I can get bored very quickly and often skip past topics in books that don’t interest me. Religion is up there with things that arent interesting to me…. Not this time though, the story keep me on the edge of my seat wanting more.
One warning though, listen to this book on your own or with your own Sik Luv, it is sure to get the blood flowing to all the right places.
Thank you for a fantastic book Jescie!

The narrators 🔥🔥🔥

Holy hell, I loved this. I truly did

The story ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

So picture this, it's 2005 and you bought a movie ticket to see V for Vendetta and you realise that your loyalty lies with the scorned man who survived and is now doling out a reckoning after being tortured and made into a monster.

That is exactly what this book reminds me of. It gives me the warm and fuzzies of nostalgia and I loved every second of it.

Everyone is comparing Aero and Zade, but there's no competition - Aero wins out. I said what I said. No hate to Haunting Adeline, I've read both. And I appreciate all works. I realise it's an unpopular opinion, but I just love a man who builds up a woman so that she's strong enough to fight her own battles and doesn't have to rely on him - but he's there to support or help if need be.

This story was more thought-out and more intricately woven which pulls back layers of deception and lies surrounding the Church which had me gasping at some points.

If I had to pick something to change? I'd go into more depth about her mother - I'm super interested in who and what happened there.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and please please please read it, it's amazing! As always with #DarkRomance, check the trigger warnings before delving into it

Thank you @jescie.hall I just hope you know you've created a amazing thing here.
