Perfection!
Cora Rose you are a truly amazing author. Thank you so much! This book is absolutely delightful and kept me thoroughly engaged throughout, even though I bought and have read the e-book. I must also give accolade where it is due - Zachary Zaba is by far the best narrator I have ever listened to. True perfection. Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Story of Cooper and Matthew
This is a wake up married to lovers romance, featuring Matthew Morris and Cooper Barone, and is the second book in the Our Exception series.
Matt is the brother of Max and Maggie, from previous Cora Rose books, and this book starts with Matt waking up married to Coop, Beau’s gay best friend. Both can’t remember a thing but it’s clear robust bedroom shenanigans took place the night before.
Coop doesn’t want to annul the marriage nor divorce Matt, he wants to see what could happen between them, even though Matt is adamant he is straight. Coop suggests Matt move in with him until he can afford to pay for their divorce. This of course is an excuse to delay any action to end their marriage.
This is quite a slow burn with lots of exploration and lots of building feelings. It’s quite sad how much internalised homophobia Matt has, if it wasn’t for his two brothers being in relationships with men, I doubt he wouldn’t have been brave enough to act on his feelings. Coop had the patience of a saint, helping Matt work through his feelings and helping him bring down his walls to let Coop in. I think maybe Matt might be Demi as well as well as Bi but it wasn’t mentioned.
I’m intrigued for what Mitch’s book might be like.
