Publisher's Summary
When it comes to women, I know what they want. And all day long, I give it to them. Dark, broody, and sexy? You got it. Need to laugh? I'm your guy. Desperate for something to put you in the mood? You've come to the right place, kitten.
Every morning when my library opens, there's a line around the block, the ladies flocking to me in need of their next book boyfriend. I'm that dude. The one who knows his way around the romance section. And if you think that hasn't gotten me plenty of action over the years, you'd be wrong.
But I made a slight miscalculation at work, and now my reputation has my job in danger. If I can't prove to my boss that I'm more than a playboy who recommends romance in the hopes of getting some hanky panky in the stacks, I'm headed for the unemployment line.
Enter Parker Elliott. She rocks a mean guitar, she has no idea how sexy she is, and she's in need of a temporary fake boyfriend. Best of all? She doesn't have a library card. I couldn't have found a better fake fiancee if I'd written her myself.
Contains mature themes.

Struggled with the female narrator.
I liked the story, and Joe Arden is always great, but I really struggled to get through this book with the way Karen White told the story. She sounds good for the other parts such as Nanna but when voicing the FMC it was hard to listen to.

Loved the story
The story line was fun and entertaining, Pippa's books don't disappoint.. I am not a fan of the narrators but I listened at 1.2 speed and that was ok.
Not sure if I will listen to this one again.

Meh...
I have been binging on Pippa Grant & have enjoyed all her books on audible, except this one! Nearly stopped listening with Parker in chapter 3, it went on way too long & I really wanted to strangle the f narrator, way to exuberant, I like emotion but she was over the top! Couldn’t wait for the book to end & really thought about skipping the chapters she read. I like her voice & she could have been okay, if she calmed down, at this stage haven’t listened to another book she has narrated. Don’t know if I want too. Joe Arden is one of my go to narrators & once again came through. This could have been a good book.

Needs a Different Narrator
Joe Arden is great as always, the female narrator Karen White needs some work. Voice is not smooth and flowing, seems to pause in the middle of sentences. The story is great though, funny, entertaining and the usual Pippa Grant laughs

Meta Romance read
A new romance reader would have a lot of the meta romance stuff go over their head or just be confusing. Best enjoyed by more experienced Romance lovers. The story is funny, adorable and full of green flags.
The only real downside is that the female narrator is too consistent and does dorky and stilted too well, because when MFC is describing herself as a dork it's fine but the spicy scenes get a bit annoying read the same way. Male narrator is good.

Disappointed
Didn't finish the story. I couldn't get past chapter 6. Unsure if the issue was with the female character or the narrator. The character was over dramatic and difficult to flow what was being said.

Worst female narration
I couldn’t listen to the whole book. The female narrator was awful and spoilt the story for me. I will read the book instead.

Dreadful
I have read this author before and enjoyed her work, but his was was abysmal. I couldn’t go past chapter 10, which was hoping that it would improve. Nothing but lust. No decent plot, never made me laugh.
Read her book Geekheart instead.
