Bente Clod har også skrevet flere digtsamlinger - bl.a. "Imellem os" (1981) og "Solen i øjnene" (1986).
Hun har modtaget det treårige arbejdslegat fra Statens Kunstfond, i 1981 blev hun indstillet til Nordisk Råds Litteraturpris. I foråret 2003 fik Bente Clod Kulturministeriets Pris for Børne- og Ungdomslitteratur for romantrilogien "Englekraft", "I vilden sky" og "Himmelfald" (2000-2003).
