About this listen
Two hotter-than-hell boyfriends to juggle, one merciless archangel who wants me dead, and then there's Francis. I still don't know what his deal is, and after that fateful night in the caves beneath the Academy, I'm not sure I want to know.
Everything around me is changing, but I'm the same. I'm still the only human. No powers, no special skills to speak of. Just a prophecy that says a human will one day retire the most powerful Grim Reaper alive, but I doubt I'm the savior the supernatural world has been waiting for. If I am, the implications are too horrible. Because this powerful being they're afraid of...is my real father.
Contains mature themes.

Yeah nah, no book 3 for me
I listened to all of book 2 straight after book 1, in one afternoon whilst unpacking and I almost stopped it in frustration twice because of how unlikeable all the characters are. Whilst I really like the concept, layers and unfolding of the story I just can’t force myself to tolerate how odious, shallow, unintelligent, unkind, entitled, oblivious, self absorbed, weak, whingey, whiney, bratty and underdeveloped most of the characters are. If the characters didn’t bring up such frustration I’d really like to see how the author fleshes out her ideas on the practice of reaping and the types of deaths; and I’d be intrigued to learn how the old ones come into focus and the prophecy aspect will play out. Normally I’d be drawn along by the dynamics, attraction, tension, lust, love, care, anticipation, sex but the relationships barely register. I can appreciate how people would enjoy this book (this series) it just isn’t for me at this time (I need intelligence, integrity, character/personality, care and connection)
