About this listen
Take one betrothal gone awry…
Prince Angelo is destined to marry Prince Yuri. Never mind that Angelo isn’t gay and didn’t choose to be saddled with a moony-eyed princeling who is determined to ruin Angelo’s life. Then one day Yuri goes too far and Angelo has to take matters into his own hands.
Add one doomed arranged marriage…
Prince Yuri is destined forever to pine after Prince Angelo. Arranged marriages are archaic and awful enough without being stuck for life with someone you want who will never, ever in a million years want you back. Still, for someone who claims to want nothing to do with Yuri, Angelo is surprisingly possessive.
And you just might get one unexpected romance.
Two men, thrown together by fate and scheming parents, shouldn’t have a prayer of finding a happy ever after. But fate can be fickle, and love can exist where you never thought it could.
Royally Screwed is a M/M romance novel featuring royalty, a poorly-thought-out betrothal, one prince in need of a firm hand, a second prince who isn’t as straight as he always thought, drunken texting, bickering, practice kissing, odious British nobility, and falling in love despite all the reasons why you shouldn’t.

Sensational!
It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Lynn Van Dorn’s work as I’m very much a character driven reader and she writes what I consider some of the best flawed characters out there. This time around, in Royally Screwed: A Tale of Two Princes, she has masterfully blended the theme of royalty in a contemporary setting and gotten me Royally Screwed in a wonderfully delicious read that I gobbled up within a handful of hours!
Yuri and Angelo are betrothed and have been since before they were born – to forge a trading alliance between their nations. It’s what royalty do… The fact that Yuri unexpectedly turned out to be male upon birth ends up not changing the betrothal, but does add a complication. They’ve known each other their whole lives and practically grown up together with the understanding that they will belong to one another sometime in the future. Although they could not be more different: with Yuri turning out to be gay and Angelo a complete ladies’ man and Yuri a stickler for the rules while Angelo is a trouble maker.
However, when they’re at University and living very different lives they always seem to find each other. Situations that require trust and complicity bring the men together, and warring emotions cause havoc, forcing to the surface words and actions that otherwise would remain unsaid and undone.
Lynn Van Dorn brings us two beautifully flawed men who are running at very different speeds on their emotional journey and the reader’s heart travels with them! This book is delightful, emotional, sweet, tender, and most of all brings a whole new world full of drama, a dash of angst, some fantastic side characters and more than a little suspense and intrigue!
I zipped through Royally Screwed: A Tale of Two Princes and feel that it would be very suited to readers looking for a book that’s not completely vanilla (it has a little bit of hurt/comfort) and those who enjoy unrequited love turning requited. Lynn Van Dorn creates some of the best book boyfriends and Yuri and Angelo have now joined my long list!
Michael Ferrauiolo's narration brings the wonderful characters to life and the story just flies by as you listen to his lyrical voice!
