Publisher's Summary

Logan "Rocket" Carrera has a history he prefers to leave buried under prickly layers of standoffish personality. He's seen and done things that would make most people lie awake at night. A master of compartmentalization, he's never had trouble moving on until the night he rescues the redheaded Chloe from a sadistic gang.

Kidnapped, beaten, and abused by criminals, Chloe has a difficult time assimilating back into the world after the most traumatic experience of her life. With each passing day, her anxiety builds until she's forced to find an outlet. Finally, Chloe discovers her own way to make sense of the world and steal a few moments of peace. There's just one problem: She can't tell a soul what she's doing. Who could ever understand the risk she's taking?

Unable to stay away from the fascinating woman who's screwing with his head just by breathing, Rocket tails Chloe as often as he can. His curiosity over her actions borders on obsession. Before long, and despite the MC president's orders to keep his distance, Rocket succumbs to the urge to approach her.

Logan, the handsome man Chloe meets in a bar, gives her exactly what she needs. He's accepting of her unusual requests in a way she hadn't thought possible. The fantasy unravels, however, when she discovers who he really is, the outlaw biker who saw her at her very lowest moment. Will Chloe be able to accept Logan as the biker, Rocket, and allow him into her life enough to help her heal? The answer won't matter if his violent past sucks him away before she has a chance to try.

this runs in the top 2 of series for me

I absolutely love Erin deward, her female voice is awesome, in all the books.
Lilly Atlas , you are a fantastic writer. the little comedy bits and pieces you sneak in is hilarious.
you keep the MC low key but touch on some harrowing topics and even though you don't wrench our guts out with them it still makes you put that topic into perspective. Noah, I struggle with his voice but only slightly, otherwise I wouldn't have listened to the series. sometimes he sounds like he's ready to swallow something but holds it in his cheeks instead 😄
I see LJ has a story but not on audible...yet.?????
I connected with these 2 and finding her fight through the one and only Izzy was perfect. the fact that rocket holds so much guilt is the epitome of some men today...not looking fwd to good things.
this storyline is one of the best yet, for me anyway. a good read with the MC on the lighter side. love them all.

Over all really great

Words can’t praise the narrators enough! They do such a good job. So much emotion! So much chemistry and steam! Love their duet narration.
I’m sorry to say though, this one was my least favourite in the series. Can’t put my finger on why. I think it was Rocket, I didn’t find him as interesting as the other men. All of the others had some kind of edge, tragic/interesting back story, humour, charisma or intellect. I felt like Rockets backstory wasn’t that interesting and he didn’t have any unique qualities about him, like all the other men so far have had. This is also the first time I hve felt the absence of family member characters.
I think because all the other characters in the series so far haven’t had much family, the fact that Chloe did but that they are barely in it, it bugged me. I really liked her brother’s character and felt he was under-utilised as a character. I almost felt like he either should have been in it more or not at all.
Anyway I know I sound like I didn’t like it, but that’s not true, I still loved the heck out of this book. Especially any time characters from the previous books showed up. And there were some really touching moments and sexy scenes. I just felt it didn’t quite match the other stories so far. I am still so excited for the next one!
